This song was written and recoded way back in 2007. I had finally got myself a full set of turntables and wanted to give them a go on the track. Granted, I'm no DJ. "Fresh" is a timeless Brother Shadrach boom bap track. lyrics pull to the fresh station ask the manager to fill me up// but only 100 grade premium// thats the minimum for getting me up// now 7 past the millennium// me and fresh are synonyms// call us twins the way intertwine// I cut my own hair today and its fine// deception, looking at a well dressed reflection reflecting shine// oh wait man its mine// so cold I'm frosbit// don't get lost man// me looking good doesn't happen often// so when I does I floss// not afraid to bust out my pearly whites because I floss// and brush daily// I must say sometimes I look so broke you feel like you must pay me// that don't fade me// those days make me appreciate the ones when I do look nice// but for now, I do look tight// so give me my props and credit for not looking a mess// I'm hot like Mexico call me baja fresh// am I feeling myself ha ha yes! my styles fresh// bet on anything and tell me can you hear that the levels are good and the beat is phat I'm fresh to def so tell me can you hear that re-medicate with some sedatives// so you can sleep when your favorite emcee sounds repetitive// its hard to eat in a career so competitive so things fall apart in desperation// our ears need restoration// or just rest itself// ears rest yourselves with shadbeats// too much ice got you frozen so defrost with some mad heat// ya'll jock like a bunch of sad sheep// grazing your way by video plays// I lay lazily sitting on waves// I wish I could do rap like new york when that chick spit in her face// white T's and nikes the game could do without it// I'm cool without it// I do I like my customs by design one// but I only rock that pair cause you aint got one// I'm so fresh dun sun// that the stocker puts me behind other rappers cartons// the ones old and moldy or soon to retire// check my date I'm not soon to expire// my styles fresh// bet on anything and tell me can you hear that the levels are good and the beat is phat I'm fresh to def so tell me can you hear that I am an artist// spitting on some virgin white canvas// to make you go bananas// building tapestries of majestic scenes // all my dreams- that you couldn't even fathom// my past heard in the words of my stanzas// got you amazed by the sound of a panda// somebody told me music is the answer// but i haven't heard a beat yet that could cure cancer// with that in mind// I take a second look at life when it seems bad at times// club slime- that aint rhyming// and no i wont sell you a beat if you bad at timing// cause my pride too big// I think my minds too big- mature thoughts// try to catch my signature-watch// as i move thru veins to get to your heart// and just in case you forgot.. the name is shadrach credits

A dedication to my current love interest. lyrics Yes... Real talk // you're nothing but all blessings I'm digging your soul deep for coal-essence I love hearing you speak in phone sessions When ever we can retreat // there's no stressing You're always straight to the point // there's no guessing You're love don't dissappoint // there's no question And when it comes to this joint there's 4 lessons Love, Friendship, Love, Substance The analogies I use don't do you justice Comparisons I use don't do you justice The metaphors I use don't do you justice The similes I use don't do you justice But, but, but... I'ma use them anyways Cause I can't find many ways To show my love for you Without understating Your beauty Your character Is so beautiful The analogies I use don't do you justice Comparisons I use don't do you justice The metaphors I use don't do you justice The similes I use don't do you justice But, but, but... Know that I love ya You bring me so much joy when I hold and I hug ya We be on the same rhythm like beat boxing Your name means SO MUCH to me // sweet homonym I know my words are as cheap as a flea market is You make me want to be my blood type // B Positive Keep rocking the mic just for you Until the end // Or at least until justice due, boo The analogies I use don't do you justice Comparisons I use don't do you justice The metaphors I use don't do you justice The similes I use don't do you justice But, but, but... I love you like a fat kid loves cake Credit Fiddy for that// I aint witty as that - note Every time I try to call you pretty in fact - it understates You're really more pretty than that I'm pretty intact // but pretty disturbed - cause the Prettiest words aren't pretty exact - as Silly as that may seem to you I'ma end it with some cheese You my dream come true, boo The analogies I use don't do you justice Comparisons I use don't do you justice The metaphors I use don't do you justice The similes I use don't do you justice But, but, but... I'ma use them anyways Cause I can't find many ways To show my love for you Without understating Your beauty Your character Is so beautiful The analogies I use don't do you justice Comparisons I use don't do you justice The metaphors I use don't do you justice The similes I use don't do you justice But, but, but...

about

SYNOPSIS:

The release of the self-titled album, Brother Shadrach, in the spring of 2009, was more literal than most knew. Shadrach, now a graduate of Chico State University, spent most of his college years detached from a seemingly non-existent Hip Hop community in the small Northern California city. A collage of four years of work, this unfocused, self-mastered, yet smooth-flowing project was finally exposed with the help of Wild Oak Music Group and encouragement of the release of Eye-Que's album, Mainstream Underground, in which Brother Shadrach served Executive Producer.

Tracks like "Stars of the Show" (featuring Lynguistix) and "Pressing Charges" (featuring Eye-Que and the production of ShonSteez for DMPmusic.com) showcase the collaborative spirit of the notable current Chico hip hop artists. As the introduction track states this album contains "a sound so ubiquitous that you only recognize it once it is absent." Under-funded, publicized, produced, and distributed Brother Shadrach is that album that you don't know you're missing... but you are.

Brother Shadrach re-released the album in the summer of 2009 re-titled "Brother Shadrach REVISITED" The newer copies contain two new tracks including the show favorite "DoWutUCan" (another Shonsteez production).
